About the position:
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work directly with a supervisor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will deliver behavioral therapy to individuals with Autism and related developmental needs working in both home and/or school settings. Skills worked on will include: communication, social skills, academics, play development, behavior management and self help skills. What is your role?
- Work with learners implementing behavioral and instructional ABA based programs as designed by the BCBA in a school, home or community setting.
- Collect data as directed by your team's BCBA.
- Follow behavior and skill acquisition plans in a playful yet professional manner as directed by your team’s BCBA.
- Promote client dignity and safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members in an acceptable time frame.
- Attend regular team meetings and CLM coaching sessions.
- Drive self to multiple work sites during the work day.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Commitment to following company policies, maintain client confidentiality, and adhere to HIPPA laws as well as the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts/RBTs.
What’s needed from you?
- Must have a desire to work with individuals with Autism or other developmental needs.
- Positive attitude and kindness towards team members and clients.
- [Preferred] Experience working with children and /or adults in the school, home and/or community settings.
- [Minimum] High School diploma and background check
- [Preferred] Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing
- Reliable transportation required.
- A background check
- Negative TB test required
- Carry out schedule as agreed upon, including good time keeping
- Comply with California Department of Public Health COVID-19 policies.
- Willingness to complete the Competent Learner Model (CLM) Course of Study.
- Accepts feedback and implements suggestions.
- Demonstrates initiative, creativity and flexibility with individuals and how the learning environments are arranged and rearranged.
