Juan’s servers work in concert with each other and other staff and management to create and sustain the Juan’s guest experience. Through hospitable service and actions, a Juan’s server is responsible for catering to our guests and making them feel welcome, comfortable, and valued. By being knowledgeable of our menu and its unique offerings a Juan’s server can direct guests to our quality food and drink items satisfying not only their appetites but also their desires for a positive and
memorable dining experience.
- Prepares the tables with all necessary
components for great service: ensures the
tables are clean and set with napkins and
utensils, making sure the condiments and
caddies are filled, and clean menus are
available and accessible.
- Ensures that guest's orders are properly and
kindly taken, based on server recommendations
and/or guest's preferences, carefully entered
into the POS system, retrieved from the kitchen,
delivered timely to the table, and delivered as
described on the menu and/or as ordered
- Suggests dishes, assists in drink selection,
informs customers about food preparation
details, and communicates specific customer
- Maintains great service experience by
continuing to fulfill customer needs, offering
appetizers, sides and desserts, removing empty
plates and finished dishes, replacing utensils,
- Maintains accurate orders in the POS
- Delivers accurate checks to tables, accepts
payments, and returns change or charge slip to
- Maintains professional working relationships
- Stays updated on current menu choices,
specialties, and menu deviations, knows if the
kitchen staff is running out of any items etc.
- Asks for assistance and direction as needed
- Reports inappropriate guest and Staff Member
behavior and work hazards to Supervisor for
- Performs side work that may include: rolling
silverware, making tea and coffee, washing bar
glassware, cutting garnish fruit, filling hot
sauces, cleaning restrooms, sweeping and
mopping the dining room(s).
