Responsibilities: This person will coordinate the MFA Safety Program, assist SER Field Specialists in developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the MFA Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Program, oversee the SHIELD behavior-based safety program, and supervise the SER Technicians. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.
What You’ll Do
- Read current regulations, make recommendations, write safety programs, and update programs applicable to MFA
- Create and update safety meeting training materials and post them online
- Maintain the information on the online safety and compliance site
- Provide training and assistance for location employees, local affiliates, SER Technicians, and SER staff on the online system
- Communicate training requirements to field staff
- Provide support for the online safety database
- Serve as primary contact with RCI to improve, maintain, and make any changes to the online safety website
- Responsible for the overall administration of the SHIELD behavior-based safety program
- Serve as the liaison between the SHIELD Steering Committee and management
- Guide the SHIELD Steering Committee members on the program process and make suggestions for fixing barriers
- Manage the SER Technicians by providing direction/guidance in related areas, assigning tasks, and developing performance plans
- Ensures OSHA 300 information is updated and accurate on the MFA Safety Home website
- 24-hour emergency contact for severe injury reporting

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in one or a combination of the following: Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Physical Science, Geology, Engineering, Agronomy, Soil Science, Agriculture, Animal Science, Soil Conservation, or a closely related field
- 3 years’ experience applying safety knowledge, data analysis, and facilitation skills
