Responsibilities: As Product Manager, Animal Health, Feed, and Farm Supply, your role will be split between both the Animal Health /Feed Division and the Farm Supply Division. You will be expected to manage vendor marketing and merchandising plans as well as coordinate the distribution of goods for animal health. You will also be responsible for establishing the wholesale and suggested retail prices for animal health products from each assigned vendor. You may also be cross-trained throughout the department to assist when needed. All duties should be completed in accordance with company policy. 

What You’ll Do

  • Work to ensure the most advantageous pricing, terms, and rebates for MFA Incorporated and dealers.
  • Establish dealer prices for assigned products/vendors and keep them updated in the Vanguard/Merchant systems.
  • Provide timely and usable program and pricing information to dealers and sales personnel.
  • Take, enter, and fulfill dealer product orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Determine sale and buyer’s market programs for assigned vendors and products.
  • Settle miss-shipments, outdated, and dealer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Manage product lines from MFA Oil and WD40, including ordering, inventory, and pricing.
  • Assist with MFA booking and contract execution for MFA tub production and sales to outside distributors and retailers.
  • Manage the product line from Milk Products, including acquisition, pricing, and distribution relationships with Consumers Supply and management of truckload direct ship orders.
  • Assist with weekly execution of feed pricing tools, primarily for integrator products, to ensure proper feed pricing, capture margins, and correct/avoid pricing problems in the field.
  • Handle routine contact with distributors and suppliers concerning product lines for which responsible.
  • Stay current on the Animal Health Industry, vendors and products available.
  • Develop/ Maintain good vendor relationships and continually evaluate competitive positions on product pricing to dealers.
  • Manage/ Develop, communicate, and implement vendor marketing and promotion programs to dealers and monitor and complete any associated dealer incentive programs.
  • Handle contracts and registrations for trade shows, commodity group meetings, and other exhibition/marketing events as they arise. 
  • Assist with other Feed Department needs as they become necessary

Qualifications 

  • B.S. degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in animal health marketing or sales.
  • Broad knowledge of animal health products.
