Intern, Marketing

La Tourangelle’s is growing and we’re seeking an eager and capable intern to support our marketing team. This is a hands-on learning role that will work closely with our Marketing Manager to ensure the functionality and cohesiveness of our brand’s marketing assets. The intern will be able to blend their love of good food with their desire to gain CPG marketing knowledge and expertise.

Reports to: Marketing Brand Manager

Location: Hybrid, with regular visits to the LAT Corporate HQ in Woodland, CA

Hours: 20-30 hrs/wk

Notes: Looking for a 6-month minimum commitment

 

Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning: main point on internal initiative to set up a tour of our Woodland, CA facility, including optimizing user experience, working with tour facilitator to gather feedback and create action plans, and set up pop-up shops and tasting room on site.
  • Asset Creation and Management: including but not limited to sell sheets, posters, label updates, and email newsletters. Working with social media agency to provide, review, and approve content.
  • Reporting: Pull reports from Google analytics, digital, and social media platforms and summarize digital and media performance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in food brands and marketing, social media, and content creation
  • Basic design skills for images and video via Adobe illustrator, Canva or similar a big plus
  • Familiarity with Mailchimp a plus
  • Working toward Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Love of food, interest in CPG companies, and a curiosity in the world around you
  • Ability to analyze data and understanding that meaningful stories can be crafted from datasets
  • Can-do attitude, attention to detail and strong follow-through with a foundation of strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in variable conditions, which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints
  • Microsoft Office skills, most preferably PowerPoint and Excel, ability to learn and navigate new software, social platforms and tools (like Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Wordpress and Dropbox)
