Description

General Duties

  • Delivers and executes area communications and marketing to staff, campus, and parents.
  • Identifies, assesses, establishes, and maintains strategic relationships with school staff, faculty, and administration.
  • Serves as the first level of contact for parent, participant, and campus issues, compliments, and complaints.
  • Ensures the program meets all contract and agency requirements.
  • Follows all agency health and safety procedures.
  • Reports all critical incidents/accidents immediately to PC.
  • Recognize and report all suspected, disclosed, and/or confirmed cases of abuse and/and or neglect immediately as a mandated reporter.
  • Learn, model, and promote emotional intelligence skills.
  • Organize, plan, and deliver community, campus, and family events.
  • Articulate the Clayton Youth Enrichment Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Attend all required training and meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Staff Management

  • Leads and manages on-site staff including observing enrichment activities, staff attendance, and performance.
  • Facilitates on-site weekly staff meetings and daily huddles.
  • Implements and guides staff in employing the agency behavior management model, strategies, and practices.
  • Manage staffing situations as they occur on-site including stepping into group management when necessary.
  • Staff and facilitate district and agency special events, enrichment, and summer programs as required.

 

 

 

 

 

Program Development

 

  • Plans program and delegates daily duties for activity and enrichment plans.
  • Trains and orients the onsite portion of new hire training for new staff as required.
  • Ensures that programmatic survey instruments are deployed and collected by deadlines.
  • Responsible for meeting all directives included in site-level action plans for program improvement.
  • Plans and participates in observations, and parent conferences and creates plans for student success.

Administrative

 

  • Conduct student daily attendance, facilitate parent/guardian pick-up process, and maintain attendance records.
  • Delivers and executes detailed plans for the acquisition and management of supplies and materials.
  • Coordinates snack and meal programs and completes any required reporting.
  • Provides accurate and timely delivery of program information and paperwork.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and club leaders working within the program.
  • Articulate the Clayton Youth Enrichment Vision, Mission, and Values.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to perform all job requirements satisfactorily and meet the Education/Experience, Personal Skills/Characteristics, Professional Conduct, Physical Conditions, Work Environment and Environmental Conditions listed below
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to plan, organize, delegate and prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Must be proficient with the use of workplace technology (i.e. computers and smartphones) with the ability to complete basic tasks including but not limited to; electronic lesson planning, sending and managing emails, navigating databases, keeping files and folders organized, using the Internet, and other basic functions.
  • General knowledge of assigned local regions and school districts preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have the ability to pass all applicable substance, health, criminal background checks etc. as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license or state issued ID.
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Some college preferred. Associates or Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, child development or related field highly considered.
  • Bilingual and Spanish speaking candidates highly considered.
  • Experience working with groups of children ages 4-13.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience managing small teams.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in education, recreation, child development or out of school time programs.
  • Experience working in diverse socio-economic environments with students of many different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Must be able to fulfill TXDSHS requirements as necessary.
