Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education, Choral Conducting, or a related field
- Proven experience teaching elementary music in a school setting
- Strong choral conducting skills and experience directing young voices
- Proficiency in playing and accompanying on a chordal instrument (e.g., piano or guitar)
- Experience in musical direction for school productions
- Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to inclusive music practices and teaching with a knowledge of various musical genres.
- Experience in and commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of an inclusive campus community
- Passion for inspiring young musicians and fostering a lifelong appreciation for music
- Experience with Orff, Kodály, or Dalcroze methodologies
- Familiarity with technology in music education
- Background in arranging music for young voices
- Sensitivity to the developmental stages and well-being of children
- Commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of students
