Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience and demonstrated interest in teaching Art
- Bachelor’s degree or MFA in Visual Arts, Education, or related field
- Sensitivity to the developmental stages and well-being of children
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
- Enthusiasm for professional growth, academic excellence and creative teaching
- Ability to plan and organize educational content
- Commitment to broad participation in school life
- Experience in and commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of an inclusive campus community
- Ability to safely lift and move moderately heavy objects frequently
- Experience in managing a ceramics studio and kiln (preferred but not required)
