EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Analyst in IT or software development projects.
- Strong IT application background with experience in troubleshooting, supporting, and improving business applications.
- Experience with Jira for ticket management, backlog tracking, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and optimize business processes.
- Ability to work cross-departmentally and collaborate with individuals outside of your department.
- Adaptibility and prioritization skills.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams/individuals.
- Experience defining and documenting business and functional requirements in a structured format.
- Familiarity with business analysis software tools such as:
- Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation
- Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart for process mapping and workflow diagrams
- Balsamiq, Figma, Penpot, or Axure for wireframing and prototyping
- Microsoft Power BI or Grafana for data visualization and reporting
- SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Heidi, or DBeaver for querying and analyzing data
- Planner, Smartsheet, or Monday.com for project and task management
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting
- Familiarity data analysis tools such as SQL and SAS.
- Experience working in hybrid softwaremdevelopment environments that combine Agile and traditional methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both internally and externally with 3rd party stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Things that will set you apart:
- Experience in the insurance industry or working with insurance-related software such as EPIC.
- Knowledge of policy, claims, or underwriting systems.
- Experience with Aptify, Salesforce or other similar CRM-related projects.

- Paid Winter Closure- AANA is closed from December 25th through January 1st each year.
