WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our People & Culture Team is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding a year-round team of coaches, interns, AmeriCorps service members, graduate fellows, and full time team members. We're looking for a People & Culture Intern to support these human resources areas during key school year and summer camp hiring periods. This intern would be reporting directly to the Sr. Employee Relations Coordinator or Director of Recruitment and Partnerships.


Kids in the Game offers seasonal internships throughout the year. Internships are typically 14-18 weeks long and Interns would be expected to work between 25-35 hours per week in person at our office location. Below are the dates for each season.

  • Fall 2024: September 3rd - December 20th
  • Spring 2025: January 13th - May 16th
  • Summer 2025: May 5th - August 22nd


Compensation: Internships are unpaid opportunities for first term Interns. There is a $200-$300 completion bonus for unpaid interns. There are also potential opportunities to extend for a second term, paid internship. We can also offer class credit where applicable. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Review resumes in our application tracking system, contact candidates by phone/email to schedule phone screens & virtual interviews
  • Conduct pre-screen calls for potential interviews
  • Arrange group interviews by coordinating schedules and using our scheduling platform (Calendly)
  • Update job postings and track the number of applications received per posting
  • Conduct reference checks and collect employment paperwork (digital and print)
  • Assist with preparing digital and print recruitment materials
  • Assist with other P&C tasks related to supporting our summer camps and 150+ coaches (e.g. planning events, ordering supplies, answering emails, employee documentation)

Qualifications

WHAT WE’RE GOING TO LOVE ABOUT YOU
Our ideal candidate would meet some or all of the following qualifications:

  • Recent college graduate or Master’s degree student in a related field looking to gain valuable experience in research, marketing, and partnership cultivation
  • A passion for digital marketing, sports, business development, and youth education industry; former athlete or strong connection to sport-based youth development is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong partner/customer interaction skills
  • Competence in research skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Social, thoughtful communicator, and networker
