The Driver for Non-Medical Transportation is responsible for performing a variety of duties in support of programing. The driver will be responsible for picking up clients from Adult Living Facilities, residential homes or other agreed upon location and transporting them safely to Programing. Driver shall also be responsible for safe transportation back to the agreed upon location on a daily basis. The Driver is responsible for transportation documentation, cleanliness and scheduled maintenance on company vehicles and insuring that the vehicle functions, including but not limited to, safety equipment are in good working order.
Schedule
A SPLIT SHIFT schedule means that you will drive a route in the morning, break for 4-5 hours, then return to drive a route in the afternoon.

POSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, using a company Vehicle
- Safely take clients to Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, upon completion of daily program using the company vehicle.
- Insure safety of clients at all times during transportation on and off the van (i.e. using a safety step)
- Routinely check functions of van and maintain proper maintenance schedule for the vehicle
- Insure all safety equipment is in good working order
- Responsible for client supervision/support
- Responsible for documentation, including but not limited to, Vehicle Safety Checks, billing sheets and other program documentation.
- Attend weekly technician meeting for additional training
- Interact appropriately and professionally with clients and the community.
