Summary

The individuals selected for this position are responsible for performing surveys, diagnostics, repair, and install beverage equipment. Always delivering an extraordinary customer service to all customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Knows and actively demonstrates, daily, our Company Mission Statement and our Core Values
  2. Correctly identifies product by sku, size, varietal, and rack bin location
  3. Drives a company vehicle in a safe manner to customer locations
  4. Maintain a good driving record
  5. Repairs, install and performs preventative maintenance on commercial beverage machines.
  6. Keep accurate inventory on vehicle and local branch location
  7. Make necessary notes on invoices to show variances changes, and out of stock products.
  8. Receives and handles payments from customers
  9. Maintain schedule calendars of equipment installs
  10. Should be able to work with and maintain smart phone, tablet, or laptop.
  11. Flexible Schedule nights and weekends
  12. Inform manager/lead of out of stocks or inventory variance on all items
  13. Assists in prep for inventory and assist in inventory process
  14. Practices teamwork and cooperation with coworkers
  15. Seeks to continually improve related skills and knowledge to contribute to profitability and productivity
  16. Undertakes responsibilities with care and attention to detail
  17. Should be able to stand for long periods while working on machines during a busy environment
  18. Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally in each shift
  19. Properly utilize a dolly and/or pallet jack
  20. Other projects as assigned by management
  21. Efficiently carrying out all the directives given by Management Team
  22. Working in accord with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA
  23. Should possess time management skills and be able to prioritizes tasks and meet the demands of the day
  24. Attendance and Timeliness is required. This is not a job you can do from home

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily. State law says you must be over the age of 21 to work at Specs. Specs insists that you be a human being (my dogs are cute, but they cannot do the job). The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In other words, here is the technical stuff:

Education or Experience

We would love you to 1-2 years of experience on the following: soda fountain, BIB machines, beer systems, ice machines, water filtration, but if you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach you. We would like you to have a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED), but sometimes, experience is the best education.

Language Skills

We need you to be able to read, comprehend and write simple instructions or memos. You must be able to talk and communicate with coworkers and guests. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Mathematical Skills

You need the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals without the aid of calculator or abacus. Counting is a major plus too as your count becomes inventory.

Attitudinal and Personal Skills

You have the job. Now you need to do the job. You need to be responsible, reliable, and committed to providing excellent service. Patience, friendliness, and an outgoing personality are needed for success. You need to be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who completes job assignments in a timely fashion and then looks for the next task.

Hours

Full Time is typically 40 hours per week. Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week.

Part Time is up to 25 hours per week.

We schedule for the needs of our business. Working outside of your scheduled time without Store Manager approval is prohibited. In other words, you cannot decide to make up hours because you missed some time after a night out with your buddies unless your manager oks it.

Reasoning Ability

You need the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Knowing when to come in from the rain is a plus.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job regularly requires standing, walking, or bending; use of hands and fingers to handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balance; talking and hearing. You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with proper tools. You must be able to use an industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment and Environmental Conditions

We provide a fun and positive environment in for our staff. You will be exposed to outside weather conditions while you are working in our warehouses. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.

Spec's Wines, Spirits and Finer Foods is a Texas-based, family-owned company that provides exceptional guest service, great prices, and an extensive selection of products in a fun and exciting environment.

We are in search of a dynamic, energetic; guest focused Service Tech Bag In A Box - Beverage System in the Dallas on premise market.

This position is a Full-Time, salaried position plus + commission. It is based out of Our On Premise Distribution Center Warehouse.

The schedule is usually Monday to Friday with rotation for on call service or depending on workload or service calls. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best technicians for the Beverage System in their establishments.

BIB Techs install and replace parts in the BIB System to better service our wholesale customers, they will be servicing local Restaurants, Bars, Pubs, Hotels, Grills, etc... Experience with local route delivery is a plus. Must be customer orientated and have good communication skills

Our Service Techs- BIB Techs

· Perform beverage equipment on-site installation, service, preventative maintenance, site surveys, repair and service on a variety of beverage dispensing equipment at customer locations and facilities.

· Serve as on-site customer contact on technical and service-related problems. Instruct customers in proper use and operations of equipment. Assure highest level of customer satisfaction and drink quality.

· Are responsible for deliveries as needed to Dispenser Beverage Customers, within the assigned route.

· Develop a good relationship with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

· Are ready to assist in warehouse when needed. Maintain upkeep of operating equipment, in relation to route responsibilities.

Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of merchandising, route delivery, be able to work well with their hands, trouble shoot and think out of the box. You must be able to communicate well with your customers as well as build a professional rapport with them. You must be able to represent Spec’s and take pride in the product and accounts you are servicing at all times.

Responsibilities and Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Beverage equipment, refrigeration, plumbing and electronic experience preferred or equivalent training

  • Basic mechanical aptitude required. Must have the ability to apply basic skills and techniques to perform tasks and resolve routine questions and problems.
  • Must have basic computer and data equipment skills.
  • Flexibility to work on call shifts, weekends and varying work schedules.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

You must be at least 21 yrs. old and have a valid TX DL.
