Description

The Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Department at Rockhurst University is expanding the Master of Science in SLP program to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. We are seeking a Clinical Coordinator for the inaugural satellite SLP graduate program on the campus of Creighton University. This full-time, 11-month, non-tenure track position is expected to begin in April 2025 (start date negotiable). The Clinical Coordinator works collaboratively to plan and implement a high-quality clinical education program that meets or exceeds professional accreditation and certification requirements. This position requires engagement with clinical sites, clinical educators, students, interprofessional groups, professional organizations, university administrators, and faculty. This is not a remote position.

The position requires strong organizational and technological skills, as data management is a key responsibility. The incumbent must ensure accurate and timely documentation of student placements, compliance records, and clinical competency evaluations across multiple electronic systems.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Secure and manage clinical placements for speech-language pathology graduate students 
  • Advise graduate students and provide feedback regarding progression in their clinical program  
  • Assess clinical skill development of student clinicians and provide support when needed 
  • Instruct 2-3 clinical courses/labs each semester on the Creighton Campus in Omaha 
  • Supervise clinical practicum in community placements, if needed. 
  • Manage day-to-day clinical operations of the SLP program in Omaha 
  • Collaborate with Department leadership to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the SLP clinical education program  
  • Serve as point of contact for students and clinical educators throughout clinical experiences 
  • Conduct site visits of clinical placements to ensure training is provided in compliance with all applicable standards 
  • Manage the electronic documentation system for tracking clinical hours and competencies (Calipso) 
  • Support the professional development of clinical educators by developing and conducting relevant training  
  • Administrative duties to develop a clinical education program (as needed)

Position requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology 
  • Minimum of 8 years of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology 
  • ASHA Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)  
  • Nebraska state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligible) 
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with graduate student clinical supervision  
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a university setting   
  • Strong organizational and technological skills for data management to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

  • Previous teaching experience (Preferred)
