Attorney- Business (Real Estate)

Stein Sperling is seeking a Senior Real Estate Transactional Attorney to support and collaborate with our Business Group in the areas of leasing, commercial real estate transactions, and financing. This role involves working with diverse clientele, including businesses, commercial real estate developers, commercial lenders, tenants, and landlords across the Washington Metropolitan area and beyond. 

Qualifications: 

• 15 + years of related real estate experience.  

• Proven client originator with a book of business. 

• Expertise in commercial real estate transactions, including the preparation and negotiation of purchase/sale agreements and commercial leases.  

• Oversee all aspects of complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leases, and financing, from initial negotiations through closing.   

• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on real estate matters, including complex property ownership structures and regulatory compliance.   

• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and paralegals, delegating tasks and providing guidance on legal matters.   

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address potential legal risks.  

• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and legal writing skills with a high level of attention to detail. 

• Current ability to practice law in Maryland and/or the ability to sit for the Maryland bar is required; Virginia and DC bar recommended.  Florida bar a plus.

This is a Salaried Exempt Position with an Annual Salary Range of $200k plus.
