Attorney (Commercial Litigation)

Stein Sperling is seeking a full-time Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing Litigation Department. The position offers significant opportunities for active, hands-on, client-facing involvement in a fast-paced and exciting environment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Draft complaints, dispositive motions, discovery, and complex legal memoranda. 

• Support and collaborate with senior attorneys on a wide variety of commercial litigation cases. 

• Conduct legal research and provide thorough analysis on case-related matters. 

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts. 

• Actively participate in client meetings, hearings, and litigation strategy. 

• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.   

• Present oral arguments in court and represent clients at hearings and trials. 

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of three years of related work experience in a commercial litigation law firm. 

• Prior experience with drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda. 

• Excellent communication, advocacy, analytical, and legal writing skills, with strong attention to detail. 

• Maryland Bar required; District of Columbia and Virginia Bar admissions a plus.

This is an Exempt Position with an Annual Range of $135,000.00 - $200,000.00 + Performance Based Bonus Compensation.
