Expected Outcomes and Requirements:

We are a growing, private equity-backed telecommunications company seeking a highly organized Finance and Legal Administrative Assistant to provide paralegal-level support to our legal and executive teams.

 

General Legal Work

  • Draft, review, and organize legal documents, contracts, and agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, and consulting agreements.
  • Maintain the contract management system and other legal archives to centralize templates, policies, and procedures.
  • Support litigation matters with external counsel, including discovery and subpoena responses.
  • Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings for internal stakeholders.
  • Manage communications and 3rd party legal relationships

Board & Investor Support

  • Assist in preparing board and investor materials (e.g., resolutions, compliance certifications, and regulatory updates).
  • Support corporate secretarial functions, including meeting minutes, written consents, corporate minute books, and other records.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Coordinate regulatory filings at the state and federal level (especially telecom-related, e.g., FCC, state PUCs).
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and flag issues for legal/finance leadership.

Finance / Admin Crossover

  • Support finance team with document organization for audits, financings, and lender compliance certificates.
  • Maintain legal and financial data rooms for transactions, audits, or due diligence requests.

Cross-functional Project Support

  • Serve as liaison between legal, finance, HR, and operations to ensure consistent application of policies and templates.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental contract approvals and renewals.
  • Assist with due diligence and other tasks for M&A and strategic corporate transactions.

Technology & Process Improvements

  • Identify, implement, and manage legal/finance tech tools (contract lifecycle management, e-signature, entity management).
  • Develop training and guides for internal teams on use of legal/finance templates and processes.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will bring the following to the table:

  • Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of corporate paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred.
  • Strong understanding of corporate legal procedures, contracts, compliance, and governance.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High standards of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience supporting private equity–backed or high-growth companies.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior executives and external advisors (law firms, investment banks, regulators).
  • Familiarity with data room management and diligence processes in financing or M&A.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with corporate governance, board reporting, or contract management systems.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications regulations and industry practices.
