Job Function:Â
Under general supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator, the Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for the preparation and planning of fitness classes. They will instruct various levels and types of group fitness classes and provide information relevant to proper use of equipment, class structure and member wellness.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â

Maintain interest and participation in district recreation, fitness, and wellness programs by conducting classes that are fun, safe and innovative.Â

Communicate openly and effectively with supervisors, co-workers, staff, participants, parent, volunteers, and other community membersÂ

Identify and/or recommend maintenance, improvement, or repair of facility equipment, property, and operational procedures to ensure safety, efficiency, and fiscal responsibilityÂ
Physical Demands, Job Location, and Equipment Utilization:Â Â

This position requires high levels of physical ability including standing, walking, talking, lifting, bending, reaching, jumping, stretching, etc. Â

Work with various fitness equipment such as weights, exercise bikes, fitness balls, mats, etc. Â
