Essential Duties
1. Must align with the CUSSD statement of faith.
2. Must instruct players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
3. Organizes and directs individual, small group, and team practice activities/exercises.
4. Assesses player’s skills, monitors players during competition and practice, and evaluates the athletic performance of students.
5. Determines game strategy.
6. Supervises both assistant coaches and athletes during practices and competition.
7. Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
8. Models Christ-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
9. Maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security.
10. Distributes equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students.
11. Submits a list of award winners at the end of the season.
12. Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
13. Performs tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
14. Models non discriminatory practices in all activities.
Other Duties
1. Attends staff development meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
2. Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Principal; or other appropriate administrator.
