Pay Rate: $38.02-$60.83 hourly
Job Summary
Manages the day-to-day activities of a functional area of a department/unit. Supervises the work of employees.
May provide input for development of budgets. Responsible for monitoring compliance and maintaining expenses within approved budget. Independent decision making is limited to the current shift responsibilities and interactions within prescribed policies. Participates in the planning of policies, standards and objectives that will provide the center with effective nursing services.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.
Job Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day activities of the department/area.
- Participates in the interviewing and selecting process.
- Assigns work and follows up on work on of the employees.
- Provides input and assists with the performance appraisal process.
- Monitors education requirements of staff.
- Oversees orientation of new employees.
- Assists with the facilitation of disciplinary actions.
- Maintains schedule and assures staffing levels are appropriate.
- Oversees timekeeping, overtime, and time off requests.
- Assists with development, facilitation and implementation of departmental projects.
- Cover for the Team Leader IV as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate new projects within the department - which would include, but not limited to education, new supplies, equipment, etc.
