Job Summary:
Position: Computer Technology Instructor
Hired by: Associate Head of School
Responsible to: High School Principal
Evaluated by: An annual written evaluation provided by the Secondary School Administration, which includes the High School Principal and the Director of Teaching & Learning.
Type of Position: Contracted, exempt employee paid on a salaried basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach high school technology classes (experience with Scratch and Python preferred).
- Contribute to the school’s effectiveness by identifying and addressing short-term and long-range educational needs.
- Set up and modify course outlines and objectives in accordance with curriculum guidelines and school goals.
- Modify lesson plans based on student diagnostic and assessment data.
- Convey information through engaging instructional strategies that integrate technology.
- Assess student learning through testing, assignments, projects, and classroom activities.
- Maintain student progress by providing feedback, coaching, and monitoring learning results.
- Maintain records of learning accomplishments, attendance, and behavior.
- Guide students’ personal and social development by setting classroom expectations and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and academic information.
- Stay current by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and engaging in professional learning communities.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Utilize resources efficiently to maximize educational impact.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
Requirements:
