KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grace Kids Early Childhood Manager will create an environment in which all Grace Kids Early Childhood (EC) ministry is executed with excellence and care. This role will oversee the Grace Kids Early Childhood Coordinator and implement a fantastic ministry geared towards ages 6 weeks-5 years old that is Jesus-centered, safe, and fun while building caring and pastoral relationships with families and volunteers. The Grace Kids Early Childhood Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Effectively contribute to, communicate, and champion the vision for Grace Kids ministry.
  • Energize ministry through presence during live programming.
  • Lead and oversee all tasks necessary to prepare for, deliver during, and follow up after Sunday morning, Tuesday morning, and Wednesday night early childhood programming. This also includes VBS, Missions Week, and all other Special Events involving early childhood programming.
  • Partner with the Grace Kids Recruiting Manager to recruit, on-board and develop disciplers
  • Collaborate with the Director, Managers, Associate, Coordinators, and Administrative Assistant regarding every aspect of early childhood programming.
  • Champion relationship-building with early childhood disciplers through check-ins and meetings
  • Oversee and execute communication with Grace Kids disciplers and households via email, social media, Grace App and website.
  • Lead and direct Early Childhood Coordinator in their Grace Kids ministry position.
  • Collaborate with and contribute to the vision for NXT Gen ministry.
  • Network with Grace Church – Chaska and kid’s ministries from other churches.
  • Demonstrate a reliance on God through a personal commitment to prayer, study of His Word, and expectation that God will do great things at Grace Kids.
  • Collaboration with Grace Kids Staff for department-wide events and programming.
  • Assist with church-wide events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Education preferred (not required): Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience preferred (not required): 5+ years of experience in roles involving the key duties, responsibilities, and expectations of the position.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • Exhibits a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
  • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with integrity.
  • Exhibits a personal passion to minister to people within the context of the local church.
  • Is or will become a Grace Church member, serve the church as a Minister on Call, and participate in Child Dedications.
  • Ability to effectively execute vision.
  • Ability to shepherd a team.
  • Ability to teach, reprove, correct, and train using God’s Word.
  • Demonstrate a personal passion to minister to people within the context of the local church.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
  • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
