Compass Ministries Communications Manager

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with the Compass Director to develop an effective overall ministry Communications plan.
• Utilizes website, social media, newsletters, and other mediums to communicate Compass Public School Ministries in a way that represents the heart of the ministry.
• Maintains regular, effective communication with our current database while working creatively to expand our reach.
• Ensures the Compass Public School Ministries website functions as an excellent resource for information and tools for educators and families. Manage changes/updates.
• Takes the lead on promoting Compass Public School Ministries events.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

• Experience required: 2 years+ of experience in Communications, Marketing or comparable position.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• High level of organization required.
• A strong knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and nuances of the English language.
• Detail oriented, can see work through from concept to completion.
• Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
• Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
• Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
