Compass Associate

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Compass Associate reports to the Director of Compass and is highly involved in connecting and equipping families in our public schools, and providing vision and support as they strive to impact their schools for Christ.

• Oversees efforts to connect and equip Christian families within our public schools on a school-by-school basis.
• Collaborates with the Compass director to design and deliver training sessions to families, casting vision for the Compass prayer, care, share framework for impact with their schools.
• Provides follow up support for Compass families in their schools as needed.
• Facilitates connections between Christian educators and families in local schools.
• Supports families seeking prayer and guidance regarding education decisions related to public education.
• Works with Compass team around event planning and coordination.
• Supports spring school service efforts.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

• Experience: Current or former involvement in a public-school setting.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Public speaking/training experience preferred.
• High level of organization required.
• Experience shepherding, praying with and discipling others.
• Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
• Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
• Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
