SUMMARY
Avivo Chemical and Mental Health Division provides a continuum of integrated services, including access, clinical treatment, care coordination and recovery support. We provide services that are innovative, person centered, strength based, and outcome driven. We strive for the highest quality of services using culturally responsive and evidence-based practices in a trauma informed environment.
The Mental Health Clinic focuses on clinical behavioral health services including psychiatry services, diagnostic assessment, and clinical individual/family/couples/group therapy services. Our model is innovative and focused on the vast and very complex needs of our clients, often requiring creative client engagement strategies. The emphasis will be Harm Reduction based therapy services for co-occurring chemical and mental health (IDDT), crisis mental health support and treatment services for severe and persistent mental illness, and services to families and couples impacted by mental health and addiction. Strong emphasis will be placed on delivery of clinical services through multidisciplinary teamwork and coordination.
The YouthLink therapist position will provide services on-site at YouthLink’s drop-in center and housing programs for youth ages 16-24. Services will include formal assessment and therapy, as well as crisis intervention, community engagement, and program development towards connecting the youth served to accessible mental health supports.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support operations of Avivo and YouthLink to ensure high quality, mission-driven services.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments.
- Upon assessment, ensure clients in need of medical care, psychiatric care and/or medication management receive timely access to needed resources and services (internally or externally).
- Develop treatment plans based on need determine within the diagnostic assessment process.
- Provide clinical services through therapy techniques that meet state, professional and ethical standards for mental health Rule 29 services.
- Assess individual’s stability and level of service need in the recovery process. Assess individual needs and make appropriate referral and service coordination for community-based services.
- Complete crisis assessments and plans as needed.
- Provide ongoing training and consultations for YouthLink staff.
- Provide de-escalation, support, and crisis therapy.
- Participate in YouthLink consultation, staff meetings, and program development.
- Coordinate care with internal and/or external providers as needed.

- Manage private and confidential client information per regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely records according to Rule 29 guidelines for all clients or other necessary professional activities for purposes of effective client interventions, accountability, and administration.
- Meet weekly for clinical consultation with Mental Health Clinic team.
- Pursue and maintain credentialing with third party payers to delivery therapy services in the Mental Health Clinic.
- Ensure record keeping for billing meets DHS requirements and remains in compliance.
