Position: Electrolyzer Engineering Specialist
Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
Salary: Salaries at Advanced Ionics are paid once monthly
Reports to: VP of Research & Development
Position Summary: The Electrolyzer Engineering Specialist is responsible for the integration of electrolyzer stacks, mechanical systems, and control systems in a cohesive package that is safe, reliable, and durable. You will leverage experience you’ve had in prior roles working with sizable electrolyzer systems to successfully accomplish this.
Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of the work are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- As a part of a collaborative team design, develop, build, and validate turn-key electrolyzer systems for the chemical and related industries.
- Integrate electrolyzer stacks, mechanical systems, and control systems into a cohesive, safe, reliable, and durable package.
- Optimize electrolyzer performance through systematic testing, data analysis, and modeling techniques.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to innovate and enhance electrolysis technology, including material selection, stack design, and system integration.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrolyzer systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to electrolyzer operation, recommend and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, advancements, and best practices in electrolysis technology and renewable energy systems.
- Participate in knowledge sharing activities such as technical training sessions, seminars, and conferences to foster continuous learning and professional development.
