WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Director of Brand Marketing will be responsible for strategically developing and executing a brand strategy and content plan that aligns with Locality’s goals. This role will involve creating engaging, high-impact content, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and leveraging strategic SEO practices to enhance visibility. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and a proven track record in content marketing.

 

  • Strategically develop and execute a brand strategy and content plan aligned with Locality’s goals.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all of Locality’s marketing channels and materials.
  • Create engaging, high-impact content for brands and agencies across various formats (email, blogs, whitepapers, case studies, videos, podcasts).
  • Develop and refine brand positioning and messaging to resonate with target audiences and differentiate Locality from competitors.
  • Collaborate with internal experts, external writers, and designers to produce thought leadership content.
  • Implement strategic SEO practices to enhance content visibility and search rankings.
  • Develop and execute distribution plans to reach target audiences through email, social media, and paid advertising.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Content Marketing Specialist, implementing individual development plans to foster professional growth.
  • Manage the relationship with our PR firm to ensure alignment with our brand strategy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and design, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
  • Analyze content performance metrics and make data-driven optimizations.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for brand growth and differentiation.
  • Manage sponsorships and oversee event planning and execution to elevate brand visibility and foster relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Encourage and lead initiatives to explore innovative marketing channels and techniques, piloting new strategies and scaling successful ones.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in brand marketing, content marketing, or a related role, preferably in the advertising or media industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful brand and content strategies.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content distribution strategies.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Experience working with PR firms and managing external partnerships.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovative marketing approaches.

 

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary of $160,000-$185,000 (dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package (including but not limited to health care benefits, retirement benefits and paid days off).
