EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or equivalent from an accredited institution is required. Master’s degree preferred. High School Diploma/GED with 5-7 years of related public health experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience and aptitude interacting with healthcare professionals and working in healthcare settings.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and present information effectively.
- Ability to work independently to comprehensively complete tasks.
- REDCap, or other data management experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with cleaning and analyzing data, using analytic software such as SAS, preferred.
- Experience requesting and abstracting data from medical records preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with medical terminology strongly preferred.
- Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are highly valued attributes.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Standard office setting at workstation and periodic use of office equipment. This position requires fulltime in-person work in accordance with City of Philadelphia policies. The office environment will primarily be at 1101 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA with alternative work necessary at clinical sites for abstraction, as necessary.
POSITION TYPE AND WORK SCHEDULE: Full time position, typical hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
TRAVEL: Local travel to multiple sites and community meetings, upon request.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Transporting materials is limited to travel, if needed.
