Ion Solar is looking for qualified Technicians who will be responsible for the management of all inspections following the solar installation.
Duties/Responsibilities of an Inspections Tech:
- Setting up inspections with the proper jurisdictions
- Delivering documents at premises of projects.
- Sharing information to the corporate office about important items with each project.
- Complete projects within established policies and procedures.
- Complete projects within time frames and budgets.
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.
- Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Duties/Responsibilities of a Service Tech:
- Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
- Complete projects within established policies and procedures.
- Complete projects within time frames and budgets.
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.
- Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Work exceptionally well with others, competently delegate work among the crew and resolve potential issues.
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to resolve customer concerns while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
- Must work well unsupervised and be self-motivated
- Proficient math skills to calculate the amount of materials needed
- Ability to use ION technology, such as Paycom, FieldPro, Salesforce, and smartphones
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be willing to submit to a Motorized Vehicle Report
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
- More than 1 year of previous construction experience is required in electrical, roofing, or framing.
- Solar experience is preferred
Driving Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must use earplugs around loud equipment and wear gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.
