Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced PFAB Shift Lead to oversee day-to-day operations on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, proven leadership skills, and the ability to drive efficiency, quality, and safety across the fabrication team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of fabrication team members on the shop floor.
- Assign tasks to team members based on job priority and schedule.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Monitor workflow, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements as needed.
- Act as a liaison between management and shop employees, communicating updates and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor performance using ERP software daily and weekly.
- Train, mentor, and support team members in fabrication techniques, safety protocols, and company standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure products meet technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Maintain equipment and request maintenance when necessary.
- Promote and enforce a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
