Job Description Summary

This position will recommend, coordinate, negotiate, contract and produce all entertainment events and exhibits for resort property. Responsible for oversight of all operational, financial, promotional and communications aspects of all entertainment events and exhibits.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Oversee the research, development and production of all entertainment events and exhibits for the property.
  • Responsible for driving incremental revenues through aggressive entertainment programs.
  • Manage the daily activities and performance of the Entertainment and Technical staff for the property.
  • Monitor all operational aspects of projects including set-up, daily schedules, and event management.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels for all events.
  • Responsible for all audio, video, lighting and electronic media systems and technical equipment utilized in the administration of all property entertainment, promotions, exhibits and special events.
  • Manage ongoing and daily performance of consultants, vendors, suppliers and contractors to achieve project schedule, budget, and quality goals for the organization.
  • Prepare business plans for promotions, events and projects and present to property leadership.
  • Produce financial information including Proformas and ROI information for new and existing events.
  • Monitor and analyze project cost reports and prepare forecast as needed.
  • Work with vendors and clients to determine/negotiate contractual agreements, design, fabrication, installation/dismantling, daily operations, staffing, and reporting of revenues for all events.
  • Serve as liaison with all departmental leaders to coordinate event details, to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
  • Observe and follow all rules and regulations set forth by Agua Caliente Gaming Commission with regard to any and all essential job duties.
  • Evaluate and recommend quality entertainment line up using all available entertainment tracking and analytical tools.
  • Provides excellent guest service.
  • Must comply with all applicable ACCRS and SRC System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures and all Tribal Regulations.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages subordinate managers who supervise employees in the Entertainment Department.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 10 years entertainment and/or promotional experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, computer literate, the ability to work with all departments and have excellent customer relation skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.

 

 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.  Must be able to work in a “lighting subdued” environment for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions to include extreme heat and cold weather.

Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment.  Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
