JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

To deliver professional, meticulous, relaxing and exemplary nail care and services to Spa guests.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Maintain professionalism, grace and dignity at all times
  • Greet guests on time with proper salutation and a smile
  • Use the guests’ name at least twice during interaction
  • Refrain from discussing company or personal business with guests.
  •  Achieve weekly retail sales goals
  • Conduct all nail services using appropriate product application
  • Perform nail services as listed on the brochure following proper safety and sanitation guidelines, while delivering gentle guest service and detailed nail care
  • Conduct all treatments according to treatment guidelines while following draping policy (modesty towel for pedicures)
  • Assess and accommodate guest’s needs: inquiring about physical wellbeing and perform appropriate service.
  • Desire, ability and commitment to educate and sell products to guests and staff
  • Do not prescribe, diagnose or suggest ailments
  • Do not solicit personal clients, house call or the selling of personal products
  • Maintain availability and dedication to The Agua Caliente Casino, being available to work as needed including weekends, holidays and evenings
  • Escort guests as needed
  • Perform at least two guest contact employee services per month as business allows
  • Participate in and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, product knowledge classes and team effort
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment
  • Know your schedule and check the computer each hour
  • Abide by all California State Board of Cosmetology guidelines
  • Comply with all ACC Company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Coordinator, Supervisor, Manager or Director.
  • Provide excellent guest service to both guest and internal clients.
  • Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACCRS and SRC System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Service oriented – able to pamper, accommodate and anticipate all guests and member's needs. Clean, organized and detail oriented. Team player. Able to put safety first. Committed to the State Cosmetology rules and regulations for hair care and related services.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

License or Certification Required: Valid California State Cosmetology/Manicurist license. High School Diploma or equivalent. Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Minimum of 1 year salon experience.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that much be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this position.

 

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.  Some sitting, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching required.
  • Occasionally exposed to heat/humidity/moisture from sauna, inhalation room and steam room.  Some exposure to water on surfaces near showers, pools and tubs.
  • During summer season, occasional exposure of extreme heat due to outside temperatures.  Some outdoor exposure required.
  • Some exposure to extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, odors from mineral waters and salon hair services.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Some exposure to smoke filled environment
  • Exposure to nail and hair related chemicals such as polish remover, nail polish, acrylic nail products, color and perm processing chemicals.
