Production Artist Graphic Design- F/T

Job Description Summary

The Production Artist, assists the graphic and design team in the production of art and layouts for print and digital media.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Provides production assistance in producing visual communications to internal and external clients
• Handles in-house printing, mounting, lamination and trimming of posters, other collateral materials, comps and presentation materials.
• Basic photography as needed
• Resizes collateral and print ad files
• Manages graphic files, photos and assists prepress production.
• Light maintenance of printers and other equipment used
• Maintain organization and reorders for supplies and equipment used as needed
• Maintain current working knowledge of graphics software options and capabilities.
• Provide excellent guest service
• Must comply with all applicable  Systems of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures and all Tribal Regulations.

Required Education and/or Experience

•  Minimum of an Associates degree (AA) in related field or equivalent from a technical school.
• Minimum experience, intern experience valuable, print and web experience a plus.  
• Well-developed portfolio of examples of graphic design for various media
• Proficient with macOS hardware
• Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Clear understanding of CMYK and printing procedures
• Knowledge in video editing and motion design in Adobe After Effects is a plus
• Knowledge in HTML/CSS is a plus
• Digital photography skills is a plus
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
• Good organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with a high attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills, in English, on the telephone and in person

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.  Also may be subjected to a smoke- filled environment.

Individual must be able to operate various printing, cutting and mounting equipment with speed and accuracy.  Must be able to safely manage large materials, heavy rolls of paper and sharp tools.

Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.  Posters and printing require a fair amount of physical movement, lifting materials, using sharp implements etc. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to:  a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
