Position Summary

 

The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum (ACCM) seeks a Museum EVS Attendant to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Manager of Administration, this position will play an important role in the maintenance of ACCM’s new 48,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility and inaugural exhibitions dedicated to the history, culture, and present times of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. This includes detailed cleaning of designated Museum areas, collaborative work with team members and other departments, maintaining safety standards while operating equipment and using chemicals, attention to detail in exhibition areas and always providing excellent customer service to Museum guests.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

  • Performs detailed cleaning of designated Museum areas including galleries, collections, and retail store.
  • Performs general floor care (i.e. sweep, mop, vacuums, and cleans carpets)
  • Removes litter from parking lots, Museum outdoor perimeter and Oasis trail as needed.
  • Responsible for safe operation of Museum cleaning equipment.
  • Works collaborative with Museum Collections team to clean designated Museum areas and respond to cleaning emergencies.
  • Works collaboratively with Casino EVS team to ensure Museum is cleaned efficiently and effectively.
  • Provides excellent customer service to Museum guests.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-year related experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment preferred

 

Experience

 

  • Proven ability to work constructively within a team framework to create consensus
  • Proven ability to understand and work within institutional priorities

 

Work Environment

 

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs for the duration of the shift. 

 

Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis. Duties may require working on weekends and evenings, as required and arranged in advance.
