YWCA Greater Los Angeles (YWCA GLA) is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. YWCA GLA provides direct services, empowerment programming, and advocacy to support marginalized individuals and families, especially women and girls of color, while working to challenge structural barriers to equity.
Position Overview
Under the general direction and supervision of the Child Development Site Director, the Early Childhood Community Educator will play a crucial role in ensuring maximum enrollment at the YWCA GLA child development sites for our infants, toddlers, and preschool programs.
Statement of Duties
- Enrollment Promotion: Develop ad sustain connections with local communities, schools, and organizations to encourage enrollment i our infant, toddler, and preschool programs, ensuring maximum enrollment at the assigned site.
- Family Support: Provide resources and support to families for the six child development centers, helping them navigate childcare options and access necessary services to ensure maximum enrollment.
- Data Management: Maintain pre-application information to be shared with site directors, as well as sign-in sheets, to track and support maximum enrollment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with YWCA staff to ensure program success and support maximum enrollment.
- Advocacy: Support YWCA GLA policy and advocacy efforts to promote maximum enrollment.
