Position Overview
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for outpatient mental health and social service support for the Sexual Assault Crisis Services Team/Gender-based prevention and support services. The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision for assigned SACS therapists pursuing licensure (as appropriate), case managers, interns, and/or students. Programmatic service includes individual and group therapy, support groups, crisis intervention and psychoeducation. The Clinical Supervisor will provide direct services when necessary.

 

Statement of Duties

  • Collaborates with Clinical Manager and CPO to strengthen and expand the clinical program design, planning and implementation
  • Oversee process of team consultations to review and discuss client treatment plans for assigned cases. May provide direct support with more complex cases
  • Ensures completion of the biopsychosocial assessments, creating trauma informed treatment plans, developing treatment goals, have a trauma informed approach and administer discharge planning
  • Creates integrated systems of treatment and social service referrals to appropriate agencies that support client goals
  • Responsible for, and acts as the lead staff in coordinating individual and group supervision for clinical interns and staff who are pursuing licensure
  • Abides by all legal and ethical guidelines associated with professional organizations in the clinical field
  • Develops positive relationships with academic programs at local universities and colleges so that learning agreements and evaluations for clinical interns are completed
  • Plans training program with other clinical supervisor for clinical interns and assists in training and supervising staff, interns and volunteers
  • Develops and implements annual outreach plan to appropriate graduate programs to recruit the needed number of clinical interns
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family therapy, or counseling related field, with valid LCSW or LMFT field
  • Five years or more of clinical practice experience, with experience in a supervisory or managerial position
  • California Certification for Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor Training and/or Domestic Violence Training. Current certification required or must be obtained as a condition of continued employment
  • Ability to work with individuals who have experienced gender-based violence issue
  • Experience with diverse cultures and demonstrated ability to work with people of various ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientation and gender identities

This job is located at our Long Beach, Compton and Angeles Mesa locations. Travel between sites will be required.
