YWCA Greater Los Angeles (YWCA GLA) is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. YWCA GLA provides direct services, empowerment programming, and advocacy to support marginalized individuals and families, especially women and girls of color, while working to challenge structural barriers to equity.
Position Overview
To provide benefits expertise and support to the YWCA GLA and handle the more complex benefits of administrative functions. Services include addressing needs related to benefits administration.
Statement of Duties
- Enrollment of eligible staff in medical, dental, vision, life, long-term disability and supplemental insurances
- Verification and payment of insurance bills
- Process State Disability claims in a timely manner
- Distribution of COBRA requests, payments and notices
- Act as a liaison to the benefit agencies
- Enrollment of eligible staff in the YWCA Retirement plan and verification with YWCA USA on status & payments
- Responsible for Worker's Compensation paperwork, claims and reports
- Prepare and distribute OSHA reports
- Assist with New Employee Orientation training, covering benefits
- Input of data and generation of reports on payroll in-house system
- Process monthly Association bills
- Process garnishments and maintain accurate payroll records
- Assist Controller with year-end audit preparation and completion of necessary audit schedules
- All other duties as assigned
