Position Overview:
Individual is responsible for managing a current loan and deposit portfolio and developing strong customer relationships to include but not limited to Agricultural loans. Additionally, this position is responsible for soliciting and developing Agricultural loans in compliance with Bank policy as well as promoting additional products and services within the bank. The individual in this position must possess knowledge of general banking policies and guidelines. This individual shall exercise independent judgment in most instances and require minimal supervision.
Role & Responsibilities:
· Develop customer prospect list which can be utilized to focus calling efforts to build new relationships and generate Ag loan growth.
· Structure potential loan transactions and underwrite loan transactions in a clear and concise manner with high-quality, objective financial analysis. Analyze financial statements and related information to identify adverse factors affecting the financial strength, cash flow, and profitability of borrowers. Present Ag loan requests to appropriate approval authority based on specified limits.
· Manage existing Ag loan portfolio by responding to customer inquiries, monitoring on-going financial position, and cross-selling bank products. Interview customers to determine their financial needs, to evaluate the risks associated with the customer, and discover cross-selling opportunities. Monitor and process Ag loan renewals on a timely basis.
· Monitor Ag loan payment history to limit past due and delinquent loans. Responsible for executing corrective action of loan quality issues.
· Review exception reports for the receipt of timely corporate and personal financial information required by loan agreements. Work with customers on an ongoing basis to limit credit, collateral, and policy exceptions.
· Review loan policy and guidelines and properly document policy exceptions.
· Work with loan operations department to properly document loan transactions.
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations. Maintain an active role with community organizations and activities within the bank’s market.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience. Potential consideration of Associate’s degree.
- Lending experience suggested or equivalent job experience.
- Developed analytical and underwriting skills with a focus on credit quality
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and good verbal and written communication
- Business development experience and professional image. Represent the bank in a positive manner in public.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment
- Willing to attend continuing education related courses pertaining to job
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
