JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Proposal Coordinator serves as the central coordination point for all corporate business development activities. This person manages the flow of information for the opportunity identification, qualification, pursuit and bid processes. The Proposal Coordinator also plans and coordinates proposal production efforts to include the scheduling, reproduction, packaging and shipment of proposals. Performs a broad range of administrative support functions such as the maintenance of a business development opportunity database (funnel), BD calendar, master proposal schedule, teaming/non-disclosure agreements and general marketing materials. In addition, this position provides assistance with administrative tasks within the Operations Department as needed.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate Degree in Administration, Business or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a government contracting/business development environment, including the coordination and management of all corporate business development activities and proposal production.
- Experience with the government solicitation process, proposal formats, procedures and general methodology required.
- Experienced in the organization and configuration control of complex, multiple volume proposal documents from initiation through submission.
- Must be highly proficient with MS Office, to include Word, Excel, and Outlook, Internet use and related products as applied to proposal development. Knowledge of graphics programs is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with little or no supervision.
- Ability to effectively set and communicate priorities, and to work across the business development organization to meet deadlines.
- Good written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
