ROLE SUMMARY:
As part of the Adult Work Experience program at Wellnest, the Facilities Assistant will maintain common areas such as cleaning and sanitizing counters, tables, lobby, and reception areas. In this position, the Facilities Assistant will also support with office organization and other maintenance duties as needed, and effectively serve in cordial communication with all staff and community members at all times. The successful candidate will be motivated and eager to learn Wellnest policies and procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Support in the maintenance and cleanliness of all assigned common areas at all Wellnest sites.
Ensure the tidiness and sanitization of all work spaces
Assist in organizing, packing, and sorting office items for storage
Assist in prepping conference rooms for trainings and community meetings. This may include organizing and lifting tables and chairs as needed.
Greet and engage guests, consumers, and families of Wellnest when necessary.
Work closely with members of the Wellnest staff, and supports with any ad hoc requests as approved by the Employment Specialists and assigned Supervisor
Other duties as assigned



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


The successful applicant will be a DOR consumer of the Life Learning Center. Must be enrolled in employment services at the Life Learning Center.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:


Employee may be asked to pursue additional training when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Company. In keeping with Company policy for all employees, the successful applicant must also complete a test for TB, and fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice. Proof that you will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and boosted per eligibility guidelines by your employment start date. Per the CDC and Department of Public Health, individuals are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19: two weeks or more after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna or vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization), or two weeks or more after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen). The Company will provide exemptions in accordance with applicable law.

Employee regularly works in an office environment.
