Summer Intern

Under the direction of an experienced minister, provides assistance to assigned ministry for ten weeks during the summer at Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”).

Responsibilities:

• Serve during worship services and LifeGroups as directed
• Plan for, prepare, and serve at PBC scheduled events, camps, and more
• Disciple and instruct participants in assigned ministry groups in accepting gift of salvation and baptism
• Contact LifeGroup prospects, first-time visitors, and absentee members
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as managing communications and preparing materials for events and camps
• Participate in regular team meetings and spiritual development activities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Team player
• Beginner skills with Microsoft Office products
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Able to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs, and able to lift up to 30 pounds
