Education and Experience Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience in production management and/or technical direction; experience in major markets or on large national tours is a plus.
- Associate degree, Undergraduate or higher degree in technical production, theatrical design, theater studies or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of contemporary and traditional event production and presentation techniques for theatre, dance, music, opera, film, lectures and live events.
- Working knowledge of techniques and methods of stage carpentry, rigging, lighting, sound, projection and communications design, installation and preparation for theatrical or related performances and events.
- Keen ability to solve problems independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to design, operate and maintain technical lighting and sound equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with ETC consoles and equipment.
- Ability to oversee arts center staff and other non-professionals around theatrical equipment, ensuring safety and proper use of equipment and spaces.
- A positive, team-first attitude is a must.
- Ability to balance competing priorities in planning and execution of annual programming and rental events.
- Knowledge of basic first aid.
- Fluency in Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus.
