Description and Requirements

Maryland Auto Insurance seeks motivated and organized individuals for a Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Adjuster position in our Claims Department. Qualified candidates must be able to multi-task in a busy, customer service-oriented environment. This position offers hybrid work.  Candidate might be required to come to Maryland Auto's Baltimore office, located at 1215 East Fort Avenue, two to three days per month.

Salary $46,736- $70,045

Duties include:

  • Determining applicability of coverage
  • Recommending and authorizing the activities necessary to affect the disposition of claims
  • Opening, closing, and adjusting various reserves
  • Conducting investigations, negotiating, settling, and closing claims
  • Documenting activities in accordance with established procedures

Requirements:

Qualified applicants will possess a four-year degree or four years of insurance claims experience.

Bilingual skills, fluency in both English and Spanish, preferred.

Additional Information

This position will report to a Claims Supervisor and will not supervise other employees. This is a flextime position scheduled for 40 hours each week. Additional hours worked, with prior supervisory approval, will be compensated as compensatory time.
