Terros Health is hiring a Full-Time Prevention and Resource Specialist for our Indian School location in Phoenix, AZ. 

Full-Time, Employed

Monday - Friday (willing to work early mornings)

Duties Include:

 

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver HIV/STI prevention and education and testing in the community and in-house.
  • Must be comfortable working with people who are homeless and near homeless.
  • Conduct community recruitment throughout Maricopa County to educate residents, businesses and other stakeholders.
  • Act as initial point of contact for department by responding to inquiries and requests or directing as appropriate.
  • Provide information regarding programs, courses, policies, and procedures to internal and external contacts.
  • Develop skills in the prevention of substance abuse, HIV, hepatitis other communicable diseases through study and training.
  • Search for updated referral information as needed for program participants needs.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred – but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED in combination with life/work experience working in the field of HIV and/or substance use/abuse prevention.
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Word, Intermediate Level Excel, Power-Point, Outlook.

  • Phlebotomy trained and certified preferred, but not required. Willingness to undergo phlebotomy certification is required.
  • Flexibility and ability to work evenings and weekends if the Director deems it necessary to achieve the objectives of the program.

  • Willing to work with all cultures and sub-cultures that comprise the population of Maricopa County in a non-judgmental manner.

  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass a TB Test.
