The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. The duties include working with all members of the HR department to assist and support HR processes, ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The Human Resources Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities.

 

 

•    Serves as a sincere and positive source of support to employees and serves as the first point of contact for Human Resources related items throughout the employee’s employment, to enable an environment of strong talent, positive culture and strong HR partnership within Terros.
•    Partners with HR Business Partners and HR leadership to develop and/or deliver HR processes.  
•    Serves as the main point of contact for employees seeking FMLA/ADA, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
•    Serves as main point of contact for worker’s compensation administration.
•    Administers leaves of absence and worker’s compensation to include claims management, reporting, premium invoicing and follow-up communication with team members, insurance carriers and medical providers if necessary.
•    Administers benefits and annual open enrollment to include communicating benefit information and providing enrollment assistance to employees, change reporting, claims resolution and invoice reconciliation.
•    Contributes to policy development and assists in communication and upkeep. Communicates and educates about changes in Human Resources policies and  procedures to department supervisors and managers and ensures compliance. Works closely with department leadership to provide guidance for interpreting policies related to personnel matters.
•    Assists HR department with new employee orientation activities to deliver an exceptional first day experience.
•    Ensures compliance with all new and existing employee files and performs routine compliance audits, processes license renewals, reimbursement requests  for assigned employees, education verifications, credentialing requests and subpoena requests for assigned employees.
•    Assists with HRIS changes and considerations for special pay, including but not limited to shift differentials, language differentials and coach differentials.
•    Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation related to day-to-day management of employees and ensures organization’s compliance with relevant federal and state laws, regulations and best practices pertaining to all personnel matters.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or a or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience
•    Outstanding interpersonal skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating persuasion skills to sell all levels of the organization on programs and initiatives.
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Natural problem-solving ability to improve situations for employees.
•    Conflict resolution skills

•    Technology skills with experience using various HR software programs.
