QUALIFICATIONS:
- Never convicted of any child abuse including sexual abuse
- Minimum age of 16.
- Experience leading and/or supervising children.
- Knowledge of appropriate activities for various age levels – including skill and ability to implement curriculum.
- Previous experience preferably within our camp setting working with diverse children
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 60 days of hire.
- Emotional maturity, good moral character, and integrity.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills with the ability to be flexible and quickly adapt.
- Demonstrated commitment and passion to develop youth in a recreational setting.
- Self-motivated and ability to multi-task
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations (depending upon the programs). Perform all physical aspects of the position, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time. The ability to calmly and effectively react in an emergency situation.
