Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or other relevant areas. Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of high school teaching experience is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of algebra and conceptual-based physics
- Experience in teaching biology, chemistry, and computer programming
- Experience with academic technology and/or an enthusiastic willingness to be trained to employ new tools
- Ability to effectively use a computer for content delivery and record keeping
- Proficiency in curriculum planning, instruction, and assessing student mastery of course standards
- Excellent organizational skills
- Current teaching certification preferred
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
- Stands 50% or more of the workday
- Sight, hearing, and speech are essential for communication
- Lifts up to 10 pounds without assistance
