OVERVIEW
Experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in web application development. Proficient in using modern web development technologies to design and build new products, develop modules for existing applications, and create intuitive browser-based user interfaces. Plays a key role across the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

The Senior Software Engineer will:Â

Develops, builds, debugs, codes and tests web enabled interfaces to DSS’ products

Develops new features within existing products, develops new products, contributes to project work planning, performs product maintenance, produces enhancements and provides quick solutions to problems for the Product Line team(s)

Mentors Junior software engineers and other team members ty sharing experience and knowledge

Serves as development point of contact on one or more projects.
Other Duties:

Adheres strictly to documentation requirements and deadlines

Provides feedback to assigned development team(s) on a regular basis

Contributes to project plans, performs product maintenance, produces product enhancements, and provides quick and effective solutions to problems which cannot be resolved by the product line team

Is responsible for written and verbal communication with other team members, documentation of version notes, technical manuals, work activities and other work processes.

Travels on an occasional basis up to 25% as directed by management and client need.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.
