OVERVIEW
The Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer will support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force’s (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to provide test and evaluation and terminal operations on a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, plan, coordinate, execute testing and provide terminal operations support on the Family of Beyond Line‐of‐Sight Terminals (FAB‐T), Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS), Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Time Distribution Subsystem Pre Processor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System
- (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Ground Multi‐band Terminal (GMT), various other systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devices.
- Provide engineering and technician‐level support for each of the above systems, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, and system‐level anomaly resolution
- Identify and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications
- Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports
- Travel: approximately 10%
