S.R. Snodgrass is looking for candidates to work with our External Audit and Assurance Group. As a Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead the audit engagement team to perform financial statement audits for our nonprofit clients primarily in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. 

 

This is a full-time position which requires an average of 45 hours per week, with additional hours as needed, especially in busy season (50-55 hours per week). Snodgrass is currently hybrid, which means that employees work at the direction of their team either in the office, at clients, or at home; a typical week is a blend of these locations and new employees generally have a minimum number of days in office for training purposes.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and continually develop ongoing client and engagement team interaction and communication, keeping firm management apprised of the audit 
  • Plan audit engagement and complete high-risk areas of the audit in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the firm 
  • Direct, supervise, and develop staff, both onsite and remotely 
  • Demonstrate independence in researching problems and solving issues
  • Assist with other client engagement projects and/or audits as needed
  • Availability to travel to clients (out of town travel is less than 20%)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (accounting degree preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of related audit experience in public accounting 
  • CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA certification 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and ability to utilize audit software/programs
  • Highly effective organization, time management and communication skills
  • High degree of attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Ability to lead in a team environment (remote and onsite)
