Position Summary

he Safety and Security Advisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at the Center. This position involves investigating accidents and incidents, conducting safety inspections, and enforcing health regulations. The advisor also monitors student behavior, provides supervision, and ensures that quality programs and services are delivered to meet student needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Safety & Security Department in maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective action
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities
  • Enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards
  • Conduct and document incident and accident investigations
  • Perform routine security tours and monitor student activities
  • Respond to emergency situations and requests
  • Manage Center security, visitor control, and student accountability
  • Assist in conducting dorm inspections and searches for contraband
  • Maintain cleanliness and security of Center facilities and property

 

About Brunswick Job Corps Center 

The Brunswick Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer Job Corps or related program experience. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.


Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and /or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
